Our Service Procedures
Galvanizing
is the process of applying a Zinc Coating to iron or steel surface for
protection against corrosion. During the galvanizing process, a series
of alloy layers are formed due to a metallurgical reaction that takes
place between steel and zinc.
At Hylite Galvanisers, we strictly follow the following process while carrying out hot dip galvanizing:
- Pre-treatment Preparation: Pre-treatment
for galvanizing consists of 4 separate stages. They are - Inspection
(Items are inspected to ensure they are safe & suitable to
galvanize), Degreasing (Steel is immersed in a degreasing solution
which removes light oil contamination), Pickling (Acid strips the steel
surface back to clean base steel) and Fluxing (A flux solution is
applied to the steel to assist the galvanizing reaction).
- Galvanizing: Material
to be galvanized is immersed in the molten zinc both being maintained
at a temperature ranging from 450 - 460 degrees Celsius until the
temperature of the dipped material is brought to the same level as that
of Zinc.
- Final Inspection: The
galvanized steel is first visually inspected for its appearance and
conformity to required standards. Samples are then tested for coating
thickness and uniformity.

Our Facilities
Hylite
Galvanisers is equipped with a world class infrastructure which enables
it to perform consistently, providing the best quality services to its
valued customers. The infrastructural facilities of our company include
the following:
- Well equipped pre-treatment section with facilities for degreasing
- Bath size of 3 mtrs Length, 1.0 mtrs Depth & Width 0.8 mtrs
- Structures up to 3 mtrs Length can be galvanized in single dipping
- Monthly capacity of approx. 200 tonnes
- Two EOT cranes of 1 MT capacity, each for efficient material handling
- Multi- burner oil fired with automatic temperature control system with drier bed
- 100 Hp exclusive powers available; obtained from a separate transformer provided by MSEB
- 15 KVA DG set for back up power
- Centrifuge for hardware parts.
